Two Lines and Two Dots
Paint-Along Programme at the Albertina

How do paintings end up in a gallery? What does a painter need to paint a picture? Which tricks do artists use to paint faces?

These and many other questions will be discussed with the children during an interactive tour of the “Monet – Picasso” exhibition. In a playful way the pupils will become sensitive viewers, try out practical techniques and learn how to distinguish between styles such as impressionism and expressionism.

After the tour the children will head to the studios for a 30-minute self-portrait workshop. There is also a short age-appropriate quiz to consolidate what the pupils learned from the tour.
