Hosted by Schubert…a Schubertiade!

When the world famous Golden Hall at the Vienna Musikverein is turned into a living room it can only mean one thing: Franz Schubert is inviting his friends to one of his famous house concerts – a Schubertiade! Through singing and dancing the children and their teachers, together with members of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, will discover how chamber music sounds and how a small ensemble grows into a huge orchestra.

Lilian Genn will host the concert in which young maestro Gustavo Gimeno will conduct excerpts from one of the most wonderful Schubert symphonies, bringing the year 1828 – when Schubert’s music was heard for the fist time in the Musikverein – back to life. This project has been specially designed by KULTUR FÜR KINDER for Kulturschultüte-classes.
